FAQs
Is acupuncture safe?
Yes! Acupuncture is an ancient medicine, informed by modern science. We ONLY use sterile, single use needles. You can rest assured, acupuncturists are thoroughly trained to ensure your safety.
What can acupuncture treat?
The World Health Organization issued an extensive review of acupuncture in 2002 which listed over 100 diseases and disorders which acupuncture has shown efficacy treating.
I’m afraid of needles. Does acupuncture hurt?
Acupuncture should not hurt. Many patients experience new and interesting sensations in their body during an acupuncture treatment. For instance, many people report feeling a heavy sensation. Most people feel relaxed, light, and at ease after an acupuncture session.
If you are afraid of needles, your acupuncturist will work with you to ensure that you feel safe, comfortable, and in control at all times. Your body, your rules.
Do you accept my insurance?
Depending on your plan and coverage, it is possible that you can be reimbursed for your treatments. To find out, please call your insurance company and ask if you have “Out of Network Acupuncture Benefits“.
If your insurance does not allow out-of-network coverage or have acupuncture benefits, please call me to discuss your specific situation.
